Leslie Laurie Wood is Vice President and Owner of American Heritage Schools and a career educator specializing in curriculum and STEM program development. She holds a master’s in elementary education and a specialist degree in educational administration, and spent more than two decades serving schools in Tallahassee before joining American Heritage in 2012. At AHS, Wood leads the design and implementation of a rigorous, STEM-integrated college-prep curriculum from PK3–12, expands pre-professional pathways, and champions hands-on research, spearheading upgrades such as an electron microscope for the school’s college-level labs. A committed mentor, she actively encourages girls to pursue advanced math and the sciences, and she takes pride in students’ scholarship, creativity, and service. Wood’s leadership is defined by elevating academic opportunity and inspiring a lifelong love of learning.
